Girls basketball tryouts set for Saturday, Sept. 22

All girls, fifth through eighth grade, who reside in West Aurora Unit District 129, can try out on Saturday, Sept. 22, to play competitive basketball this fall and winter with the West Aurora Girls Feeder Basketball Program.

The Blackhawks team will play in the Road to Success League on Sundays at Neuqua Valley High School from October to February. Practice will be twice a week.

Tryouts are free; however there will be league and uniform fees for girls who make the team.

Tryouts will be held on Sept. 22 at West Aurora High School, Red Fieldhouse, Door 15, 1201 W. New York St., Aurora.

Fifth-graders will try out from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; sixth-graders, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.; seventh-graders, from 3 to 4:15 p.m.; and eighth-graders, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
