No charges in crash that sent SUV into salon

No charges will be filed in connection with a crash last week in which an SUV smashed through the window of a Wheeling beauty salon, injuring one employee, Wheeling Police Deputy Chief John Teevans said Monday.

The crash occurred Friday, police said, when the SUV’s driver mistakenly stepped on the vehicle’s accelerator instead of the brake.

The woman who was injured at Olivia’s Beauty Salon, 16 W. Dundee Road, has since been from the hospital, Teevans said.
