Turn to the Bible to lift you up when you’re down

We’ve all heard that saying, “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.”

And sometimes we feel like we need that connection with someone who can pull strings and make our dreams come true.

Today I am glad to know the Creator of the universe. He is the God and father of our Lord, Jesus Christ. As I think about our ‘in’ with him, it reminds me that we don’t have to worry about the rejections of life. We can count on him to lift us up and open new doors for us when other close.

When we need a reminder of this one we know, we can go to a book called the Bible where we can read words that point us to the wonder of his power and influence over our lives.

I have found a few verses that bring strength when I am weak. I’d like to share them with you:

1) According to Ephesians 3:20 (AMP), he is able to do “superabundantly far over and above all that we (dare) ask or think (infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes or dreams).”

2) “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV).

3) “But not one hair of your head will perish.” — Luke 21:18 (NIV)

4) “For he will give his angels (especially) charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all of your ways of obedience and service.” — Psalm 91:11 (AMP)

We need to remember that our feelings are not good indicators of the truth. God already has a plan for us greater than we can imagine. It’s the devil that wants to destroy that plan by tearing down the truth of God’s love for us and our destiny.

Post these powerful verses where they are in your sight. Speak them to yourself daily. When you get discouraged remind yourself who you know!
