Waukegan man accused of having child porn
A 19-year-old Waukegan man faces felony charges after authorities say they seized his computer containing “hundreds of images” of child pornography.
Javier Beltran, of the 1500 block of Brookside Avenue, was charged with aggravated possession of child pornography after authorities executed a search warrant at his residence Wednesday, police said Friday.
Police said Beltran admitted to involvement in the crime, and additional charges may be forthcoming once more evidence is reviewed.
The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force assisted the Waukegan Police Department in the investigation.
Beltran is being held at Lake County jail on $50,000 bail and is due in court Sept. 24.
