Downtown Palatine’s Oktoberfest takes place this weekend

The Rotary Club of Palatine will hold its fifth annual Oktoberfest this weekend in the Fireman’s Memorial parking lot, Brockway and Slade streets, Palatine.

The celebration runs 4 p.m. to midnight Friday, noon to midnight Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. The event, which is free and in a tent, features authentic German music, food and activities.
