Hoffman Estates plans 9/11 Ceremony of Remembrance

The village of Hoffman Estates continues to remember and honor all those who tragically lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.

The village board and the Celebrations Commission invite you and your guests to a memorial ceremony for the victims of the terrorist attacks.

This year, the village’s annual Sept. 11th Ceremony of Remembrance will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at village hall, 1900 Hassell Road. Schaumburg Fire Department Lt. and 9/11 first responder John Schneidwind will be the speaker of honor. Schneidwind will share his firsthand experience assisting at ground zero in the aftermath of the tragedy.

Following the ceremony, light refreshments will be served.
