Service people rely on your generosity
It seems ironic that restaurants, bars and other large facilities are more and more discouraging the practice of allowing their workers to seek gratuities when places like coffee shops, doughnut shops and ice cream parlors allow their employees to have a place to leave gratuities. The restaurants industry does not pay well enough for the people to live strictly on what is being paid. It’s set up because of the gratuities expectation. These people depend on the generosity of others to help them along. Without the reminder of this, out of sight out of mind.
For the people who are offended at the sight of this type of solicitation, take a look at yourself and realize this is how service people make a living.
