Art fair set for this weekend in Palatine

The Palatine/Inverness Arts Council and the Palatine Jaycees will put on the eighth annual juried art fair, “An Art Affair Around the Square,” from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 8 and Sept. 9. The event will take place in downtown Palatine at Towne Square, located at Palatine Road and Smith Street. Admission is free. Several mediums will be represented including water color, acrylic, oil, pottery, fine jewelry, stained glass and pastels. The art fair also will feature children’s art activities and live entertainment by musicians who will perform from the gazebo.
