Barrington man’s death due to natural causes

A 49-year-old Barrington man found dead in a vehicle on the shoulder of Route 53 Thursday died of natural causes, Cook County medical examiner’s office officials said Friday. An autopsy was conducted on Richard Himes Jr. a day after he was found unresponsive in his running vehicle parked on the right shoulder of Route 53 north of Palatine Road. State police had classified the case as a “suspicious death investigation” Thursday, but on Friday said the investigation had been closed following results of the autopsy.
