Enough with the proselytizing

Regarding the Aug. 22 letter to the editor, “Jesus wouldn’t condemn gays:”

While I agree with the letter writer’s intent to condemn any type of bigotry, the lengthy proselytizing and evangelizing is totally inappropriate for a multicultural community newspaper. Six paragraphs of Bible quotes and what the person of Jesus may or may not have been thinking has no place in a public newspaper. This kind of rhetoric is far more appropriate for a church service.
