Village of Lombard Recruiting Donors for September Community Blood Drive

The September community blood drive will be held at two locations, Yorktown Center, near mall entrance #5 and Lombard Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson. Hours at Yorktown will be during the morning and early afternoon, 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Donors who prefer to donate at Yorktown will visit the Heartland Blood Center Mobile Coach, which will be located near Egg Harbor CafÃ©. Donors who prefer coming to Village Hall may do so from 1:30-7 p.m.

“Please remember those innocent people who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks on our country on September 11 and please remember to donate blood in their memory,” said Carol Bauer, Executive Coordinator for the Lombard Village Manager and coordinator of the community blood drives.

All donors will receive coupons for free frozen custard from Culver's and a free sandwich from Chick-fil-A, a $5 Walmart gift card plus be entered into a drawing to win one of several gift cards, compliments of Yorktown Center.

All blood donors must present a photo ID to donate blood. To schedule an appointment at either location, register online at www.heartlandbc.org or call Bauer at (630) 620-5712. The Lombard community blood drives are held in conjunction with Heartland Blood Centers.
