Little Sisters’ golf fundraiser Sept. 10
The Little Sisters of the Poor at St. Joseph’s Home for the Elderly in Palatine will host its seventh annual “A Swing and a Prayer” Golf Outing on Monday, Sept. 10, at Makray Memorial Golf Club, 1010 S. Northwest Highway, Barrington.
The Little Sisters of the Poor will welcome Chicago Bear and NFL Pro-Bowler, Robbie Gould. Gould will be available to greet guests and sign autographs.
Your support of a “Swing and a Prayer” will provide food for St. Joseph’s Home residents; pay utility bills, fund special events and much more. The day will include an 18-hole scramble, box lunch, dinner and an awards reception. The cost is $200 per person. Putting Contest and registration begins at 10:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.
In Palatine since 1965, the Little Sisters of the Poor have dedicated their lives to giving total quality care to the elderly poor regardless of race, creed, sex or nationality. St. Joseph’s Home is one of only three Chicago Area Nursing Homes that received a perfect Five Star Rating from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
