Michael Ennis is a best-selling author of historical fiction who is also an award-winning art and architecture critic. His latest thriller, “The Malice of Fortune,” to be published by Doubleday in September 2012, captures the glorious and gritty details of Renaissance Italy.
His previous international best-selling historical novels are “Byzantium” and “Duchess of Milan.” Ennis’ nonfiction writing, on subjects ranging from military preparedness and national politics to art and architecture, has won several national awards and has been published in several books and anthologies as well as magazines.
Debut novelist, Rebecca Harrington, is a 26-year-old writer living in New York City who studied history and literature at Harvard — which coincidentally is where her first novel takes place. “Penelope,” published by Doubleday in August 2012 is a hilarious novel about a young woman facing the angst and absurdities of modern college life.
