Sample food, music during Sunday’s 6th annual Taste of the Towns in Lake Zurich

The Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce hosts the sixth annual Taste of the Towns Sunday, Aug. 26, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Paulus Park, 200 S. Rand Road, Lake Zurich.

The event features local restaurants, wineries and breweries that will serve samples of their menus. There will be picnic and pavilion seating available. Bring your chairs, blankets, candelabras and your friends for a new tradition in the park.

Taste of the Towns, which is presented by the Daily Herald, is an opportunity to bring family, friends and neighbors together for tasting the foods you always wanted to try, live entertainment and family fun.

This family event will also offer live musical entertainment from local artists, including the Triple Dawg Dare, Alex & the Allstars and other local favorites. Music will be played on the stage.

Entertainment sponsored by Avalon Salon, Trilogy School of Performing Arts, Tacos el Norte and Lake County Board Member Craig Taylor.

A sampling from each vendor can be tasted by purchasing a tasting menu. The tasting menu may be shared by more than one individual, although there is just one tasting from each vendor. Additional beverages may be purchased on-site.

The tasting menu cost pre-event is $30 each, two for $50 through Saturday, Aug. 25. To purchase, visit www.TasteoftheTowns.com. There is a limited number of Tasting Menus available, and they are expected to sell out quickly.

If there are tasting menus available on the day of the event, they will be available at $35. This tasting menu will be stamped when sampling the tasting menu at each booth. All the participating vendors will be listed in the tasting menu with their menu. Additional beverages may be purchased separately.

There will be an entertainment area for children sponsored by Bright Horizons Early Education & Preschool, Casten Body Shop & Go Hardball.

At the conclusion, every person with a tasting menu will receive a souvenir glass sponsored by Melon Ink and Elegant Embroidery.
