Remains found buried in Indianapolis wooded area
INDIANAPOLIS — Police in Indianapolis say people searching for a dog found a shallow grave with possible human remains.
Police say the discovery was made soon after midnight Wednesday in a wooded area amid a mix of homes and industrial buildings on the city’s east side.
A police spokesman says specialists would investigate the site and work to identify the remains, but a man who found the grave says the body appears to be that of an older man based on the clothing.
Justin Blakely tells WTHR-TV (http://bit.ly/O4LWAo) that it looks as if the body had been there a long time and that he and his cousin also found several hundred dollars near the grave.
