Chicago soul dance tryouts

Chicago Soul FC, a new soccer team that will be playing at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates by the end of this year, has announced tryouts for its 2012-13 dance team.

Preliminary tryouts are set for 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, and Friday, Sept. 21, at the Grand Sports Arena, 2350 Hassell Road. There are plans to form a 25-person team that will include dancers, promotional outreach models and in-game entertainers.

Preliminary tryouts will consist of prep classes during which interested dancers will learn a routine that will be judged at the semifinal and final auditions in October. Interviews for people interested in promotional outreach and in-game entertainment will be held on Sunday, Sept. 23, at Grand Sports Arena.
