'We Pay for A's' contest teturns to The Peoples' Bank

The Peoples' Bank of Arlington Heights will once again be offering an incentive for local students to do well in school. The bank's “We Pay for A's” program offers cash prizes to the winners of quarterly drawings if their latest report card includes any A's or B's.

“We have held our ‘We Pay for A's' for a number of years and paid out thousands of dollars to winners of all ages,” said Peoples' Bank Vice President Mary Ann Flynn. “With a new school year upon us we are ready to accept registrations again.” The contest is open to students from first grade through college. Registration forms are available at The Peoples' Bank locations at 41 South Vail and 1104 South Arlington Heights Road, or on line at www.peoplesbanc.com. Parental permission is required.

Each quarter the bank will select five winners from among the entrants and those five will be paid $20 for every A and $5 for every B on their most recent report card, up to $100. Payments are deposited into a Peoples' Bank Kids Savings account. If the winner does not have an account, one will be opened for them at no charge.

“We Pay for A's” has proven to be a great motivator for students of all ages,” Flynn said. “It's a nice way to ease the sting of having to go back to school and start doing homework again.”
