Brothers charged with mob action after Villa Park fight

Two Montgomery brothers have been charged with mob action following a weekend fight outside a Villa Park apartment, during which both men were stabbed and left unconscious, police announced Monday.

Ricardo and Rolando Robles arrived at an apartment on the 500 block of West Division Street during the early morning hours Saturday and started a fight with three men inside, according to police. During the altercation, Ricardo Robles, 24, pointed a handgun at one of the men inside, which led to a fight outside the apartment and eventually into the street, police said.

Witnesses said bottles were broken and a car window was damaged during the fight.

Officers arriving on the block for a report of a fight in-progress at 3:10 a.m. found three people who had been stabbed, according to police. Ricardo Robles and his brother Rolando Robles, 23, were both unconscious and taken to an area hospital, police said.

Police recovered a bloody knife and the scene but could not locate the handgun.

Officers arrested the Robles brothers upon their release from the hospital.

Ricardo Robles was charged with mob action, unlawful contact with street gang members and aggravated assault, according to police.

Rolando Robles was charged with mob action and unlawful contact with street gang members.

Both men are being held at the DuPage County jail on $100,000 bail.
