The Secret Park is no secret to litter
There’s a park we love to go to on Saturdays. It is called Emmerich Park but we call it the Secret Park because it is hidden (west of Raupp and just south of the creek). The great thing is we don’t just play at this great park; we explore the area behind it.
It’s really beautiful back there, except the litter. This past Saturday, instead of playing we decided to pick up the litter. After two hours we collected much trash and many floating baseballs, two shovels, a bike and only one leach — gross.
We didn’t finish so we’re having a day where anyone can come and help us. Help the earth on Aug. 18, 2012 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
