Tax relief program is badly needed

The other day my wife and I received a letter from the Illinois Department of Aging stating that 2012 will be the last year senior citizens will receive the Circuit Breaker Tax Relief. My wife and I are senior citizens surviving on Social Security, and a small pension from my wife’s last employer. We rely on the Circuit Breaker to get us through. I am a World War II Marine Corp. veteran, served three years of my duty in the South Pacific Islands, from Guadalcanal to Guam. I am 91 years old, and my wife is 82.

I wonder if the General Assembly will put a lock on their future payroll.
