Marriott to stage Webber revue, '9 to 5' in 2013

The Marriott Theatre's 2013 season will start off with the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber and wrap up with a “spoonful of sugar” from the stage's most beloved nanny, the theater announced Thursday.

“Now and Forever, the Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber” hits the stage Jan. 16. The premiere presentation showcases hits from such Webber musicals as “Evita,” “Cats,” “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Phantom of the Opera.”

Rodgers and Hammerstein's “South Pacific” follows on April 3. The tale of an American nurse who falls in love with a French plantation owner is considered one of the great musicals of all time.

Next up on June 5 is the musical comedy “I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change,” about relationships.

Three co-workers take revenge on their sexist boss in Dolly Parton's “9 to 5, The Musical,” starting Aug. 14, 2013.

Finishing the year for Marriott is “Mary Poppins.” The family favorite, which starts Oct. 23 and runs into early 2014, is based on P.L. Travers' stories and the classic Disney film.

Subscriptions start at $116 per person and single ticket prices range from $40 to $48. For tickets, call the box office at (847) 634-0200 or go to ticketmaster.com.
