Murphy, Morrison hold Aug. 11 recycling event in Palatine

State Sen. Matt Murphy and state Rep. Tom Morrison, both Palatine Republicans, are hosting a recycling event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Quest Academy parking lot, 500 N. Benton St., Palatine. Several nonprofit organizations will be on-hand to accept donations including WINGS, Habitat for Humanity and Palatine American Legion Post 690. Household items, gently-used clothing, electronics, building supplies, American flags and CFL light bulbs are just a few of the acceptable items being collected.
