Old-fashioned county fair has its appeal
Sometimes old-fashioned traditions are the best of life. My family and I, once again, visited the Lake County Fair this weekend.
The experience is hard to describe, but the hometown feel of a fair far outweighs the commercialism of the large amusement parks which they unfortunately compete with. We enjoyed the food, drinks, exhibitions and entertainment.
We also enjoyed our daughter Ashley’s band, Uncle Zesty, on Saturday night.
On Sunday we were entertained by the senior division talent show where our other daughter, Corrinne, placed second.
The simplicity of these entertainers (all of them at the fair) graced us without the hoopla of the music completion shows of TV land! Thanks to Evie (the event planner for the music) for a wonderful show.
