Woman driving with kids in car pleads guilty to DUI

An Arlington Heights woman, arrested after restaurant employees called police to report she may be intoxicated and was driving with two young boys in her car, pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated DUI and driving on a revoked or suspended license recently in Rolling Meadows.

In exchange for Jennifer L. Dean’s guilty pleas, a Cook County judge sentenced the 31-year-old to three years in prison, with credit for the 208 days she has spent in custody.

The judge also ordered Dean pay $6,804 in fines and fees.

An employee of Armand’s Pizzeria in Arlington Heights phoned police after Dean drove away from the restaurant on Jan. 5 of this year. Another employee took down the license plate and followed Dean in his car, authorities said.

Officers arrived at Dean’s home on the 900 block of North Yale as she and the children exited the vehicle. Dean, who police say has three previous DUI convictions, was driving on a revoked license at the time, authorities said.
