Rover Rescue to host garage sale

Donations are needed for the Great Annual Rover Rescue Garage Sale benefiting homeless dogs.

The funds raised through the sale will provide medical aid and care for dogs and puppies rescued from high-kill shelters by this nonprofit, all-volunteer group.

The garage sale is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, and Saturday, Aug. 4, at 326 Sharon Lane in North Aurora. For the donation drop-off location, call the Rover Rescue contact line at (630) 897-7454.

Items needed for the garage sale include household goods, tools, sports equipment, kitchen utensils, glassware, toys, baby furniture, baskets, holiday decorations, small appliances and paperbacks. Clothing and other donations are also welcome.

Due to storage limitations, however, the group cannot accept upholstered furniture or large appliances.
