Modern Family' stars settle contract fight
The stars of the ABC comedy “Modern Family” reached new contract agreements that end a legal dispute between the parties and allow production on the top- rated show to resume.
Principal photography on season four of the show will start today, according to Chris Alexander, a spokesman for the show's producer, News Corp.'s Twentieth Century Fox Television. Fox produces the program for Walt Disney Co.'s ABC.
Five of the actors sued Fox last week, seeking to nullify their contracts and threatening production of the show, which ranked as the most-watched comedy last season among the 18- to-49-year-old viewers that advertisers seek.
