Ask a scientist yourself about the Higgs
Curious about the Higgs boson and if it has really been found?
Learn more at an Ask-A-Scientist presentation from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Fermilab.
Fermilab scientist Don Lincoln will present an overview of the Higgs particle and the half-century worldwide search that involved scientists at particle accelerators in Illinois and Europe. After the presentation, Fermilab scientists involved in the Higgs boson search will be available to answer your questions about the Higgs particle, the Large Hadron Collider and particle physics.
You can also see Fermilab’s remote operations center for the Large Hadron Collider.
Refreshments will be served.
Admission is free. Enter the lab at Pine Street and Kirk Road in Batavia.
