Palatine brush pickup starts Monday

Palatine Monday will begin a sweep of the village to collect any remaining brush resulting from this week’s storm. Loose brush must be out at the curb by 7 a.m. Crews will make one pass only through the village. Brush must be eight inches or less in diameter so that it can be fed into the chipper. Firewood or tree stumps will not be accepted. Cut ends must face the curb with branches left as long as possible. For information, call the Department of Public Works at (847) 705-5200.
