Products made in American are safer

I have always tried to purchase products made in America because I know my purchase will keep a job or create a job here in the USA. Without jobs our country is nothing. We blame our government for no jobs, but in reality we as citizens are creating the problem by not purchasing American-made products.

American-made products may cost a little more, but our country has safety standards that make our products the safest and most desired in the world, such as Underwriters Laboratories electrical standards to prevent electrical fires. If the product fails it will fail safely, due to fire safety standards. Product standards require material that will not support combustion. And there are health standards to prevent toxic chemicals such as lead paint in toys and pesticides in food. The list goes on.

All of these standards were developed through the years and, yes, they do add costs, but do you want products that are not safe? Even China is purchasing American-made products because the Chinese know their products and food are not as safe.

No matter how large or small your American-made purchase is, combined with other people’s purchases it will create jobs that will reduce the need for welfare benefits by improving our economy. It’s a win-win purchase. Thanks for doing your part and purchasing “Made in America.”
