‘Fill the boot’ in Round Lake

Round Lake Firefighters Union Local 4235 will host a “Fill the Boot” collection for the Muscular Dystrophy Association on Aug. 11 and 12. The collection will be at Cedar Lake Road and Route 134 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both days. This is the eighth year of the event, and during that time the firefighters union has collected more than $30,000 for MDA. Mike Bloom, president of Local 4235, said some of the money will be directed to a local child who suffers from muscular dystrophy.
