The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce will host a “Rockin’ the Blocks” community block party July 28, in downtown Palatine at the BMO Harris Bank parking lot, Brockway and Slade. The free event is noon to 11 p.m. with live entertainment by Jason Picchoitti, Mustache Pete, Solid Aire and the headliner, Smokin Gunz, at 7:30 p.m.; plus food booths, a beer garden, martial arts, face painting, arts & crafts, dunk tank, Baggo tournament and police safety tips.
