Round Lake Beach infant death investigated

Authorities are investigating what's been labeled as a suspicious death of an infant today in Round Lake Beach.

Lake County Coroner Artis Yancey said his office was alerted to the death about 9 a.m. He said officials from his office, the Lake County Major Crimes Task Force and Round Lake Beach were summoned to the scene.

Yancey said the infant died in a home. No other details were immediately available.
