Penn State’s Peetz to evaluate school’s ‘fundamental culture’

Penn State University Board Chairman Karen Peetz said a special task force of trustees and school administrators will ensure that recommendations of the Freeh Report are implemented.

“Progress will be about much more than responding to recommendations, but about evaluating the fundamental culture that is Penn State,” Peetz said in an emailed statement to alumni.

That culture will be rebuilt based on commitments to academics and athletics, as well as transparency and accountability, Peetz said.
