Palatine Travelers to Hold Travel Team Tryouts

The Palatine Park District baseball and softball affiliates Palatine Youth Baseball/Softball and Palatine Baseball Association are proud to announce that the Palatine Travelers are now one single entity with one vision. It is the purpose of the Palatine Travelers to create and sustain an environment to nurture competitive baseball and softball through the Palatine Park District. The Palatine Travelers hold open tryouts each season in front of unbiased and independent outside raters who assess the players in regards to fielding, throwing, and hitting.

Tryouts for the upcoming 2013 baseball and softball season will be taking place from July 24 through August 12.

Boys Travel Baseball Tryouts will be held at Tom T. Hamilton Reservoir, 1037 North Smith Street, Palatine on Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5. Players will try out on Saturday in front of independent raters. The highest rated players will be invited back for Sunday's workout. Notification of callbacks will be posted at www.palatinetravelers.com on Saturday after tryouts. There is no cost to try out, pre-registration can be completed online at www.palatinetravelers.com. The schedule for boys tryouts is:

9U 9:00am - 11:00am Hamilton A,B,C

10U 11:00am - 1:00pm Hamilton A,B,C

11U 1:00pm - 3:00pm Hamilton A,B,C

12U 3:00pm - 5:00pm Hamilton A,B,C

13U 9:00am - 12:00pm Hamilton C,D,E

14U 12:30pm-3:30pm Hamilton C,D,E

Girls Travel Softball Tryouts will be held at the fields to the south of Stuart R. Paddock School, 225 W. Washington Street, Palatine. Those trying out need to participate in one of the days listed. For the registration form, informational flyer and a FAQ sheet, visit www.palatinetravelers.com.

Sunday, August 12 from 3pm to 5pm

11U/12U Saturday, August 4 from 9am to 11am
