Come one, come all to St. Charles theater fest

Visitors and residents of St. Charles are invited to Applaud, Create and Get Away as arts and business organizations across the city reunite for the second annual St. Charles Summer Theater Festival.

Devised by John Gawlik, artistic director for Fox Valley Repertory, the first festival was inaugurated last July. Continuing through July 22, the festival condenses the community’s creative charm into weekends of concerts, dramas, new play-readings, and interactive art demonstrations.

As a part of this effort, the St. Charles Singers will host “SING Concert: Teen Singing Ensemble.” The concert will showcase each of the ensembles, selected soloists from the solo coaching sessions, and an all-sing.

The performance will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19, at the Baker Memorial United Methodist Church, 307 Cedar Ave. in St. Charles. For information, visit www.stcharlessingers.com/SING. For further list of shows and events, visit www.summertheaterfest.org.
