DuPage Symphony Orchestra announces 2012-13 season
The DuPage Symphony Orchestra has announce five literary-themed concerts for the 2012-13 subscription season, including works by Beethoven, Liszt, Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich — all inspired by the great literary works of Shakespeare, Cervantes and Robert Louis Stevenson, among others.
Performances include:
Ÿ 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, “Great Expectations;”
Ÿ 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, “British Masters;”
Ÿ 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, “Shakespeare in Music;”
Ÿ 8 p.m. Saturday, March 16, “Legends and Literature;” and
Ÿ 8 p.m. Saturday, May 11, “de La Mancha.”
All symphony concerts are performed at North Central College’s Wentz Concert Hall in Naperville.
