Beach Park man charged after seizure of Ecstasy pills

A 21-year-old Beach Park man has been charged in connection to the seizure of 67 pills of Ecstasy, according to police.

Detectives from the Lake County sheriff's special investigations unit conducted a traffic stop at Milwaukee and Grand avenues in Gurnee Tuesday night, resulting in the seizure, according to police.

The driver, Arnie Estrella, was arrested after the stop, which occurred at 7 p.m., police said.

Estrella, of the 13000 block of West Yorkshire Lane, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He appeared in court Wednesday, where a judge set bail at $25,000, according to the sheriff's department.
