Submitted by Summer Theater Fest

The Fine Line Creative Arts Center, 6N158 Crane Road, St. Charles, is joining in the 2012 St. Charles Summer Theater Fest.

Once again, visitors and residents of St. Charles are invited to “Applaud, Create, and Get Away” as arts and business organizations across the city reunite for the second annual St. Charles Summer Theater Festival. Devised by John Gawlik, artistic director for Fox Valley Repertory, the first festival was inaugurated in July, last year. Returning to St. Charles, the festival which opened July 6 and runs through July 22, will condense the community’s creative charm into weekends of concerts, dramas, new play-readings, and interactive art demonstrations.

As a part of this effort, the Fine Line Creative Arts Center is offering classes and workshops in arts from weaving to blacksmithing, tailored to meet the interests of all skill levels.

Upcoming classes and workshops include: “Fast Fire Bronze Clay — Exploration in Moldmaking with Gail Crosman-Moore” at 9 a.m. Friday, July 13; “Beginning Weaving” at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 14, and 9 a.m. Saturday, July 21; “Borosilicate Glass — Exploring Form with Gail Crosman-Moore” at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 14; “Polymer Clay — The Great Imitator” at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 14; “Basic Welding for the Artist” at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 21; and “Felting a Landscape” at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21.
