Palatine Area Chamber to host ‘Rockin’ the Blocks’

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ‘Rockin’ the Blocks’ community block party in downtown Palatine, in the BMO Harris Bank parking lot, at the corners of Brockway and Slade streets, from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, July 28.

‘Rockin’ the Blocks’ will include live entertainment, food booths, beer garden and a host of other activities. The event is free and open to the public.

Highlights under the main tent include Smokin Gunz, the headlining country rock band, performing from 7:30-10:30 p.m., and a pig roast by Brothers Ribs.

A portion of the funds raised throughout the event will benefit the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce scholarship programs.

Lead sponsors for ‘Rockin’ the Block’ are BMO Harris Bank and Weber-Stephen Products, LLC, other sponsors include Northrop Grumman, Lamplighter Inn and Palatine Bank & Trust.
