Dining events: Chick-fil-A welcomes cow costumes Friday

Be kind to cows

Show some cow love and moooooooove on over to Chick-fil-A in a head-to-hoof cow costume and earn a free meal Friday, July 13 — otherwise known as Cow Appreciation Day. Too chicken to go full cow? Wear a few spots and receive a complimentary entree. Stop in breakfast, lunch or dinner. Last year, more than 600,000 people celebrated nationwide.

2 Toots' fresh beef

Grab a seat on the tracks at 2 Toots Train Whistle Grill and enjoy the new beef partnership with Tallgrass Beef Company. Burgers and hot dogs now are made with 100 percent grass-fed, all-natural beef that is preservative- and hormone-free. Top off a burger or hot dogs with gluten-free buns. Little conductors will be amazed when the food arrives in baskets on train cars.

Two dine for $25

Now through Aug. 12, two people can dine for $25 at Olive Garden. Choose two entrees from items such as the new smoked mozzarella chicken or spaghetti with four-cheese meat sauce and meatballs, and choose two appetizers such as the calamari or bruschetta or choose one dessert from items including the triple chocolate strata. The special includes unlimited soup or salad and breadsticks.
