Hanover Park show needs classic cars

Organizers of the 2012 Hanover Park Car and Motorcycle Show are seeking entries. The fifth-annual event will be held noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at the Metra station, Lake Street and Barrington Road. The show also will feature a band, D.J., food and raffle. Cash prizes will be awarded to best of show, best paint, best engine and best Mustang. Admission to the public is free. The entry fee is $15 in advanced and $20 for day-of registration. Proceeds benefit youth programs at the Hanover Park Community Resource Coalition. Rain date is Sunday, Aug. 26. To register, call (847) 514-4349.
