Des Plaines author releases new novel
Des Plaines resident Timothy J. Elliott announced the release of his new science fiction novel titled, “No Better Day.” The 375-page novel is available in hardcover and paperback and is published by I Universe Books of Bloomington, Ind.
Elliott describes his novel as a science fiction story set in contemporary times.
“Many people are living in a constant state of anxiety. They feel that something big is about to happen and they hope it is something good,” said Elliott. “There is a feeling of oppression that looms over our society and an overwhelming desire to break out of it.”
Elliott’s interest in spirituality and the cosmos influenced the writing of his book. “No Better Day” takes place in Chicago and Rochester, N.Y. Elliott says this book is the first of several being planned for future release.
Timothy J. Elliott earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio, and a master of fine arts degree from Columbia College, Chicago. He has written screenplays, short films, corporate image and identity training films, radio spots and television commercials. He is the recipient of an Integrated TV and Video Association (ITVA) award. As a commercial artist, Elliott has illustrated pinball and video machines for the Williams-Bally-Midway Company and has worked for several film and video companies as a writer and director. His original artworks and murals are displayed in several private residences. Elliott designed the artwork for his book’s cover.
