Women’s Club of Inverness awards scholarships
The Women’s Club of Inverness is celebrating more than 45 years of promoting cultural and educational support in the community.
The club is a nonprofit organization committed to serving more than 25 local agencies. All proceeds from fundraising activities are distributed to local community-based organizations. Scholarship grants are awarded to graduating high school seniors, college students and returning adult students residing within the boundaries of School Districts 211 and 220.
Thanks to the successes of the Spring Fashion Show/Luncheon Benefit in April and the Holiday Fair in November, the Women’s Club of Inverness was able to award 15 college scholarships at the year-end meeting in May.
The students receiving the $1,000 scholarships are Nicolette Bartolameolli from Palatine High School (St. Louis University), Catherine Clarke (Elmhurst College), Kelly Doherty from Fremd High School (University of Illinois), Christina Greenbaum from Fremd High School (University of Tampa), Teneisha Hall (Harper College), Flavio Kola from Harper College (UIC), Jenna Lee from Barrington High School (Miami University), Dana Lindquist (University of Illinois), Marissa Mallon from Palatine High School (Harper College), Priya Mehta from Fremd High School (St. Louis University), Nevena Neskoska (DePaul University), Sana Quadri from Hoffman Estates High School (Loyola University), Catherine Reff (Elmhurst College), Margaret Schroeder from Conant High School (Harper College) and Betti Varga (Harper College).
