Children’s safety classes offered in Geneva

Did you know that for children the No. 1 health risk is injuries?

Attend a weeklong program, presented by the Geneva Police Department and the Geneva Fire Department, and learn about top injury risks in this area.

Participate in fun activities stressing bike and pedestrian safety, personal safety, electrical safety, playground/fall safety, water safety, motor vehicle safety and fire and burn prevention. Plus, enjoy a tour of the Geneva Fire Station 1, see a police car up close and take a school bus ride to the Moore Park Splash Park.

Classes will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. or 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 9-13, as well as from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday, July 16-20.

Cost is $20 per child. This class is recommended for children entering first grade. All registration is done through the Geneva Police Department.
