Elgin Youth Football and Cheerleading

Final registration for the Elgin Youth Football and Cheerleading program will held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 8 at Drake Field, home of the Elgin Bears, 701 Hasting St. in Elgin.

Registrations will be accepted from the communities of Elgin, Sleepy Hollow, East and West Dundee, Carpentersville, South Elgin, Hoffman Estates and Burlington.

The Bears are part of The Chicagoland Youth Football League. It has been the home for former professional players and recent back-to-back Upstate Eight Conference Players of the year.

Home games are played at historic Drake Field. Players are placed in part, according to age and weight. All kids, ages 5-15, are welcome; no high school players.

Cheerleaders practice all season, learn cheer routines, perform at games, and participate in a competition at season's end.
