No major injuries as Naperville cops probe shooting

The occupants of a 2006 Mercedes-Benz were injured by broken glass after multiple shots were fired at their car Thursday night on the 1900 block of Wisteria Court in Naperville, authorities said Friday.

Police said there were an unspecified number of bullet holes in the body of the vehicle as well as broken windows. Police did not say how many people were hurt, but described their injuries as minor.

A residence in the area also was damaged “by projectiles” from a weapon, police said, but no local residents were injured.

Police said the shooter or shooters were in a light colored, possibly silver or blue, Pontiac minivan. They said the van may have had tinted windows.

The shooting was reported at 10:53 p.m. Thursday, police said, and the victims were found at a fire station where they had stopped for assistance.
