Former Bartlett resident charged in theft from homeowner’s association

A former Bartlett resident has been charged in the theft of $17,000 from the Bartlett Place Condo Association for her own use, Bartlett police said Thursday.

Police arrested Vanessa M. Sanders, 37, of the 1100 block of South Monitor Avenue in Chicago and along with the Financial Crimes Unit of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, charged her with felony theft.

Police said Sanders stole money from the condo association between August 2006 and October 2010 while serving as treasurer.

Bond was set at $50,000 at a court hearing in Rolling Meadows.
