Hoffman Estates Children’s Memorial bricks available

The village of Hoffman Estates is reminding families that more than 2,000 memorial bricks are available at the village’s Children’s Memorial, a permanent site for grieving families and loved ones to remember their departed children.

The memorial, which includes a circular concrete bench, five commemorative bronze statutes and memorial bricks, is located outside the Department of Health and Human Services entrance at village hall, 1900 Hassell Road. Each brick costs $75, and includes two lines of information (name and dates of birth and death).

Brick purchases benefit the Hoffman Estates Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and all contributions to the memorial are tax deductible. Bricks are for children up to 22 years old who attended a school in Hoffman Estates or lived in the village, if under school age.
