Fire trades defender for 2014 draft pick
The Chicago Fire has traded a reserve defender, Kwame Watson-Siriboe, to Real Salt Lake in exchange for RSL’s fourth-round natural selection in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft, team officials announced Wednesday.
Watson-Siriboe leaves Chicago after 2½ seasons here. Selected 26th overall in the second round of the 2010 MLS SuperDraft, Watson-Siriboe appeared in 10 matches during his rookie campaign, starting seven for a total of 681 minutes.
Watson-Siriboe spent the 2011 season on a season-long loan to North American Soccer League side FC Tampa Bay, where he appeared in 10 matches. He has not appeared in a first team match this year.
