Tax assessments topic of Des Plaines meeting

Des Plaines Alderman Mike Charewicz is holding a Eighth Ward meeting 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19, at St. Zachary School, 567 W. Algonquin Road. Connie Carosielli, assessor of Elk Grove Township, will be the featured guest speaker. Discussion will include interpreting and understanding current property tax bills, a timely topic as second installment property tax bills are to be distributed in July.
